Sebastian Gravlund arrives at the legendary Belgian racetrack with fully recharged batteries and his competitive spirit at 100 percent.
It’s been two months since Sebastian Gravlund last sat behind the wheel of Inter Europol Competition’s LMP3 racer at Le Mans. That’s a long time away from racing, but the Copenhagen driver hasn’t been idle:
“I’ve taken some time to relax and recharge, and I’ve kept my form sharp by karting. Recently, I participated in the Danish Championship in shifter karts, which was a great way to stay active. I feel like I’m in a really good place and well-prepared for the autumn season,” says Sebastian Gravlund.
And he needs to be, as he and co-driver Tim Creswick will be chasing crucial points in this weekend’s Michelin Le Mans Cup round. After two unlucky rounds in the championship, they need a flawless weekend to climb up the standings.
“The goal is, of course, to get on the podium and bring home a trophy, but we primarily need to collect points for the championship. We need to drive consistently and avoid accidents. If we can do that, we’ll be well-positioned for a solid finish,” says Sebastian Gravlund.
The Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Spa-Francorchamps takes place on Saturday at 16:05 and can be watched live at https://live.lemanscup.com/en.
