Sebastian Gravlund to Miss Le Mans Cup After Traffic Accident

The Copenhagen-based racing driver will have to sit out this weekend’s round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup following an accident on Monday afternoon.

During a bike ride, Sebastian Gravlund was hit by a motorbike that failed to see him. Although Sebastian escaped with relatively minor injuries, his body is too battered to complete the weekend:

“I’ve been lucky to get away with just a few bruised ribs, so I traveled to Mugello to see if I could push through the weekend. But I have to admit, it’s not possible because the pain is too intense,” says Sebastian Gravlund, who is understandably disappointed.

“It’s really unfortunate. I had hoped to manage with a combination of painkillers and sports tape, but it just doesn’t make sense. I’ll have to sit this one out and focus on getting ready for the final at Portimão in about a month,” he says.

The final in Portimão takes place on October 18-20.
