The Copenhagen-based driver delivered an impressive performance in the season finale at Portimão.
Sebastian Gravlund’s debut season in the Michelin Le Mans Cup has been filled with challenges, and after missing the penultimate round due to a traffic accident, securing a strong finish became even more crucial.
His teammate, Tim Creswick, handled qualifying and secured a ninth-place start for the race. This provided a solid foundation for a top finish, and after a strong start by Creswick, the duo climbed two positions. Thanks to a consistent performance from Gravlund, they crossed the finish line in seventh place out of the 28 starting LMP3 cars.
However, after the race, their position was adjusted to ninth due to a time penalty for Creswick for overtaking under a yellow flag. Despite the setback, Sebastian Gravlund is satisfied with the season’s final race:
“It was a great way to end the season. Our best result this year, and overall just a race where everything clicked from start to finish. It proves that we’ve been unlucky all season and have way more potential than the results show,” says Sebastian Gravlund, who now looks forward to the off-season and solidifying plans for 2025.
“Nothing is set for the upcoming season yet, but I’m working on several options, and I’ll definitely be back on the tracks next year,” he assures.
