Sebastian Gravlund

Gravlund is tuned up for Eurocup3 after a long summer break

More than two months have passed since Sebastian Gravlund raced in Eurocup3. This weekend, the wait is over, and the Copenhagen native is fit for a fight.

When this year’s fifth race weekend starts this weekend, there won’t be much rust to shake off. Sebastian has spent the last two months keeping himself sharp and ready to hit the gas:

– A two-month break is unbearable in the middle of the season, especially when I’ve seen many others in the sport racing here and there. So, I jumped back into the go-kart to stay sharp, and it’s been insanely fun, says Sebastian, who has trained and raced in the gear-kart class KZ2.

– It’s been a great alternative, and I also had the opportunity to participate in the Danish Karting Championship and Danish Karting League, where I ended up grabbing a third place in Vojens, says Sebastian, who has looked forward to getting back into the Eurocup3 racer:

– Karting is fun and really good for staying in shape, but it will also be good to get back and work with the folks at MP Motorsport. I hope very much that the technical challenges have been resolved during the summer break so that we can start chasing some results, he says.

The Jerez track in southern Spain is not new territory for Sebastian Gravlund, who also raced here in the Spanish Formula 4 championship last year. At that time, the weekend was spoiled by collisions and technical problems, but there was plenty of learning – this weekend, however, is hoped to bring some success, according to Gravlund:

– Now, we need to move forward! The first half of the season has been challenging with a lot of small problems, so now I want to show that I have the speed and skills to be at the top of the field!
