Gravlund joins Inter Europol Competition for Michelin Le Mans Cup

Sebastian Gravlund will make his debut on the Le Mans circuit in 2024, switching from single seaters to the Michelin Le Mans Cup with Le Mans winning team, Inter Europol Competition.

After several successful and educational seasons in Formula 4, both in Denmark and Spain, as well as in Eurocup3 in 2023, the time is now right for the fast-paced driver from Copenhagen to switch to long-distance racing. A race in the Spanish Prototype Winter Series earlier this year confirmed that Sebastian was ready for the change:

– I’ve always had an idea that this was the direction I wanted to go with my sport. It was definitely confirmed when I made my LMP3 debut with Inter Europol Competition in January, and since then we have been in close contact to continue the good collaboration, says Sebastian Gravlund.

The Michelin Le Mans Cup is held in conjunction with the European Le Mans Series races on the biggest European racetracks. Together with his co-driver, British Tim Creswick, Sebastian will compete in two one-hour races in each of the six races of the year. One of them will be held the day before the legendary 24-hour race starts on the track.

– It will be a huge experience for me. The Michelin Le Mans Cup is an incredibly competitive field in itself, but to race on the Circuit de La Sarthe is a chapter of its own. It will definitely be the highlight of the year, says Sebastian Gravlund, who has made sure to ally himself with a team that has proven that they can win races – also at Le Mans:

– Inter Europol Competition is super skilled and won Le Mans in the LMP2 category last year. I am in very good hands, and at the same time, it is a team where I have the opportunity to work my way up to, for example, the European Le Mans Series and eventually get a shot in a Hypercar team. I’m really looking forward to getting started with the season, says Sebastian Gravlund.

Before the season starts in mid-April, Sebastian will compete one more time in the Prototype Winter Series this weekend at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. A good warm-up before an intense season lies ahead.
