Gravlund is ready for a fast Spanish classic

A classic fast-paced racetrack awaits Sebastian Gravlund as he kicks off the second round of the Spanish Formula 4 Championship at Circuito de Jerez in southern Spain.

The fast teenager from Smørumnedre had an instructive debut in the Spanish championship when the season started at Portimão, and now Sebastian Gravlund is ready to build on that alongside MP Motorsport:

“The first weekend went really well with lots of good experiences, so now the plan is to continue working and become even faster. We tested on the track last week, where I got to know the track well, so now I hope I can bring the speed into the weekend,” says Sebastian Gravlund, who is excited to push it further at Jerez:

“It’s a classic high-speed racetrack where you don’t get anything for free, so in terms of driving technique, it’s something I can learn a lot from – we don’t have this type of track in Denmark. That makes it even more exciting because this is where I have the opportunity to become better.”

Jerez is particularly famous among motorcycle fans, but until 1997, the track also hosted Formula 1 races. With drivers like Schumacher, Häkkinen, and a certain Magnussen on old participant lists, Gravlund has joined a fine company – albeit at a somewhat different level:

“The track is cool, and it has a great history. For us young drivers, it’s a bit special to be allowed to race on a track where some of the great drivers have been. It’s a good reminder of what we’re working to achieve. But there’s still a long way to go,” says the young driver.

The races in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship at Circuito de Jerez can be followed live on the streaming platform Twitch.
