Sebastian Gravlund

Technical issues plagued Gravlund at Monza

Sebastian Gravlund was prevented from crossing the finish line in the Eurocup3 event at Monza due to significant technical problems.

After a promising second round of the Eurocup3 championship, it seemed like the technical issues for the Copenhagen-based MP Motorsport driver were a thing of the past. However, at the Italian national stadium, Gravlund didn’t get much opportunity to experience the famous racetrack from his race car.

Although the first practice session ended with Sebastian as the seventh-best driver, things only went downhill from there, and in the two races, the Danish racer never saw the checkered flag.

– It has been a frustrating weekend for me, to say the least. I was looking forward immensely to racing at Monza, which is one of the tracks I’ve dreamed of since I started go-karting many years ago – but it turned out far from what I had hoped for, says Sebastian Gravlund.

– The team has fought to give me a strong car, but it wasn’t the weekend we had hoped for. With two zero-point weekends out of six, I won’t be competing for the championship, so now the focus is on getting some good results in every race and extracting as much learning as possible from it instead.

– I’m sure MP Motorsport will get the car sorted before the next race, and then we have something to prove together. I’m looking forward to that, concludes Sebastian.

The next race will be held at Zandvoort in the Netherlands on July 15-16.
